We “Never Give Up”
Bikers Fighting Cancer, established in 2002 with seven founding members, has grown yearly and has set a goal to double our membership by the end of this year. We are proud to say that all members are unpaid and we donate our time and efforts to forward the cause to help children with cancer. We invite all like-minded individuals to join our group.
We will welcome you with open arms, as would the children.
Bikers Fighting Cancer was established in 2002 by an 11 year old boy, Ray and 49 year old Patrick Healy. Both were fighting for their lives. Ray told Pat when he grew older he wanted to ride and belong to a bike club. Pat suggested to Ray that they should start their own club now.
Ray designed the patch, name of the club and the slogan “Never Give Up.”

Ray hated the Grim Reaper so he drew the Reaper with the circle and slash to symbolize banning death.
Pat turned Ray’s wishes into reality and the BFC was born.
Two patches were made and worn by Ray and Pat. Ray died at age 12 and was buried in his vest and patch.
In 2007 another child, Chelsey Ebert, was fighting her own battle with cancer. Chelsey became a member of the BFC with her own vest and patch.
As with Ray, Chelsey lost her fight with cancer. As she requested, she was buried in her vest and BFC patch.
Having known both Ray and Chelsey I know we have a chapter of the BFC in Heaven.
The patch was designed by a child and worn by two of the bravest children I have ever met.
This symbol will remain until a cure is found and no more children suffer.
As Ray told me “We are banning the Reaper.”
